With immediate effect it has been agreed that LAPR&D will merge under the PLANETS barrier and operate as one organisation. PLANETS are also registered as a fund under the Southampton Hospital Charity but also have an independent charitable entity. LAPR&D and PLANETS have similar objectives in relation to research and support for those impacted by liver and pancreatic cancer. The research project recently approved by LAPR&D will continue and we hope to bring more exciting news on progress over the following months.
LAPR&D Patron Kelvin Davis states "we would like to thank all of our supporters who have given of their time and energy over the past 11 years to raise funds for our research programmes. We have come a long way since our establishment by Professor Mo Abu Hilal but feel now that we would be stronger under the PLANETS banner".
LAPR&D supporters are encouraged to visit the PLANETS website and follow their web and social media links for future updates on our work at planetscharity.org
