With the threat of torrential rain to come, a planned golden wedding Anniversary garden celebration of a took place.
Mr & Mrs Michael Hunt opened their spacious garden to Hedge End Ladies Park Shopping Bus (an annual event) and with the help from close friend Mrs Debbie Moore, and her family, provided the most amazing and delicious afternoon tea for their family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Music was provided by The Lockerley Silver Band and the children enjoyed the large bouncy castle.
Money was raised through the afternoon for the Liver & Pancreatic R&D Cancer Charity with the sale of cakes, soft toys and tickets for the Tombola and Raffle. The event raised over £1,500 for LAPR&D..
At the end of the afternoon Mr & Mrs Hunt cut their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary Cake while the band played "Congratulations".
LAPR&D wish Mr & Mrs Hunt many more years of happy marriage together and thank them most sincerely for their generosity in allowing their celebration day to be used to raise vital funds for us.
